The game is divided into days and there are 31 days in all. Story mode takes at least 4 hours to reach one of the main endings. The game has both pixel-art nudity, which can be disabled from the options, and pixel-art violence, which cannot.Using only the documents provided by travelers and the Ministry of Admission's primitive inspect, search, and fingerprint systems you must decide who can enter Arstotzka and who will be turned away or arrested. Among the throngs of immigrants and visitors looking for work are hidden smugglers, spies, and terrorists. Your job as immigration inspector is to control the flow of people entering the Arstotzkan side of Grestin from Kolechia. I just hope you won't blow the story of your game. The communist state of Arstotzka has ended a 6-year war with neighboring Kolechia and reclaimed its rightful half of the border town, Grestin. But don't forget - LN not simply great game, it brings very sensitive subject of child innocence in a very haunting manner and lets us to deal with it, to proccess it and learn very valuable lesson. Did you ever thought about Early Access to raise some money? Because with such concept you're already have at least one customer - me, as LN easily climbed to my top 10 of all time favourites - and I game for 26 years. Such thing would be nice to see, but again I imagine you're very small team inspired by LN so you're limited in resources. And then when finished they retract and become two again. I'd suggest when he puts them on vents, they grow, multiply - become 4 instead of 2 - latch on to the bolts and like spinning around them to unbolt. Also, I know people already told you, but still - the animations of Paper Boy - seriously? This is a top priority, his movement animations, and especially his vent unlocking animation - he just puts sort of small tentacles on the surface and bolts drop down. Also the Paper Boy already has glowing eyes but they do not illuminate surroundings, I think some form of flashlight ability should be added, as some parts are really dark and for example if some secret will be hidden in full release in such dark area it would be almost impossible to find. I also liked Little Nightmares vibes, I think you're onto something here, especially adding two abilities, which I believe you will expand - after all piece of paper is universe's strongest and most durable element :) I do think however that soundtrack is not quite there, too jovial to my taste, especially considering LN inspiration. Thanks for doing this, and best to the team for the launch. Minus these minor nitpicks and a slight snag on a piece of geometry I had at the last platform, this was a fun little demo that's earned a wishlist. Can make it unplayable without a relaunch and physical disconnection of the HMD. As noted in the bug report thread, this demo launches SteamVR if users have VR HMDs attached. It being the only instance of a forced camera shift in the entire demo does make it somewhat jarring and illusion breaking. I have to wonder how much of an improvement, if any, it would be to have the roomba showcase occur naturally over being a forced camera movement. I expected to hear the light rustling of paper rolling about. Feels a bit odd using the same SFX as general footsteps. A different sound for the paper ball rolling about might be nice. Telegraphing to the player what to do (You didn't have to tell me water was bad!) Controls (Line feels good to just move about!) Music (Shifted around pretty dang well depending on the area too!) Visual Design (Charming yet slightly mysterious, love it!) Overall It's quite polished and does get the core loop through clearly.īelow are some general thoughts after finishing this off: Hi there! Just finished off your demo for this title.
